“On Beauty” is not just a film, but a call to action for people to change the way we see and treat one another. The “On Beauty” education initiative focuses on engaging young people in the conversation and empowering them to advance the movement.
The initiative will bring the film and accredited lesson plans to classrooms around the country. The resources were created with a language arts class in mind, but they also apply to other subjects including health, biology, arts and current events.
This kit contains background information, useful external links and the lesson plan. Students can also get involved in our “Beauty in Difference” forum, which is a curated online gallery that gives people a chance to share their stories and shows the many faces of beauty.
These resources will help educators teach students about genetics, bullying and the value of diversity. As we refine and improve these materials, we would appreciate any feedback you may have.
